    Re: help

This looks like a marketing strategy. (recall, recognition and positioning)

Can you give us more sentences, before and after, that one?

I don't undersand the last part: "when certain products are called"

    Re: help

    here it is the context:
Positioning helps company differentiate itself and stand out in the mind of consumer. Clever positioning will always ensure recall and recognition when certain products are called e.g. Baked Beans Means Heinz.

i know Baked Beans Means Heinz is an advertisement phrase. but i don't understand what this sentence (in blue) really mean.
i guess it may say, when people hear advertisement, they will know what the product is and show recognition to this product.
    am i right?

    Re: help

Do you have a definition for "positioning?" -

It could mean on the shelf in the store, advertisement on TV, or how the product is presented to the public.

A catchy slogan can pull the consumer to the product. We often purchase items just because they are advertised well, not because they are good.

    Re: help

the "positioning" means where the product lies in the mind of consumers.
