    verb"notice"

    Dear teacher,
As I do english exercise,I do not understand the answer key.Can you please help me?
    "hey,look where you are going."
"Oh, I am terribly sorry_____ "
    A I am noticing
    B I was not noticing
    C I have not noticed
    D I do not notice
The answer is "B" but I do not understand why we do not choose D.My friends said that "notice" is never in present progressive tense. Is it right?

    Try,

    • Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I wasn't looking (where I was going).
    • Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't notice you there.
