    Re: convert

    Irregular verbs change form:

    sing, sang, sung
    is, was, been

Regular verbs take -s and -ed:

    walk, walks, walked
    convert, convert(s), converted

    Or we might say:
All English verbs have 5 forms (except "be", which has 8):
infinitive, -s form, gerund, simple past and participle.
The -s form and gerund are the same for all verbs, though there are 4 irregular -s forms: has, does, goes and says (pronounced "sez").
Regular verbs add -ed to the infinitive to form the simple past and participle forms.
The simple past and participle forms of irregular verbs are completely unpredictable.
