    speak about

Anyone know another expression to say "in this article the journalist says/ speaks about.... "
I want to find some sentences to start to speak about one article (I have to explain the topics, the story and the matter)...
Is it possible to say "this article report ....."?

it's one article written on the financial times, the topic is economics.

I've got also another doubt is the preposition... "IN"the newspaper OR "ON"? I think "on" it's right but... you know, I'm Italian and isn't so natural to say this...

"on" Internet is also slightly strange for me...

    thanks a million.

But be careful, alex - the verb 'report' refers to an event; in the case of an FT article it might be better to use something like 'the article discusses/addresses/deals with/covers/goes into/lists...'. Or more formally 'cites' or even 'adumbrates' [that last one is rather archaic, but you might come across it - I wouldn't recommend that you use it though ]

    Re: speak about

The most important thing is that you are re-telling what the journalist said or thought.

This is HIS or HER perception of the event. Keep that in mind.

"in this article the journalist says/ speaks about.... "
