    Question just a few phrases

I've checked several dictionaries and have searched googles, but I couldn't find the meanings of these expressions. I'd appreciate if you someone could help:

    1. too spotty for my taste
    2. an old head on young shoulders
    3. she's got her head screwed on
    4. I really get a kick out of it
    5. you can't beat a live gig
    6. well, for one thing you can't trust anything he says, and for another, he's a bit of a show-off.

in the sixth expression I don't understand the meaning of 'for one thing' and 'for another'

    Regards,
    Kamila

    Re: just a few phrases

"She's got an old head on young shoulders" means she is mature for her age.
"I get a kick out of that" means that it excites me, that it gives me pleasure.

    1. too spotty for my taste Implies that someone has acne OR that something has too many spots.
    2. an old head on young shoulders
    3. she's got her head screwed on She is really really sensible
    4. I really get a kick out of it
    5. you can't beat a live gig Nothing's better than live music
    6. well, for one thing you can't trust anything he says, and for another, he's a bit of a show-off. For one thing you cannot trust him and for another thing he shows off >> two reasons against him.
