    English language

Could you proofread this short text and tell me your views about the English used in it?Not a native speaker.?

The author,no matter how much he claims that he pursues the modern literature, seems to have derived his literary merits from traditional story telling style. He sounds as if he came from the times of itinerant story tellers when stories weren't scripted yet and seems to have a lot of them in store.Since he owns such a narrative core,he defines himself as a fable writer rather than a story writer.
You can count him as one of those in Anatolia who tells stories, tales and elegies;he even is a word magician. It may well be said that there is no other writer who could feel this country as much as him and get it heard better.

It is not too bad, but it is not fluent.
