    Post stress syllables

    I am having a problem trying to identify stress syllables either in sentences or words.. Can you help me?

    The obvious first choice is to consult a dictionary for the words. For sentences, listen to a competent speaker (including yourself, if applicable), and have him/her exaggerate the stressed syllables if necessary.

    Remember that word stress usually falls on nouns, verbs and adverbs, and that sentence stress usually comes at or near the end of the sentence.
