    similitude

If I told you, you would yell at me just like these dogs. But don’t think that…………… . Of course not. This is just an innocent metaphor.

    which sentences below suits better.

    (1) you’re in the similitude of a dog.
(2)there is a resemblance between you and a dog.
    (3) I’m putting you in the place of a dog;
    (4) I depicted you like a dog

    or any other alternatives…

    Re: similitude

The rule is - you tell us which you think, and we can then advise. Which do you this is a metaphor?

    Re: similitude

when the dog sees their owners, they barks...as well as when they meet strangers...

yelling at one to who one care about... for example stop them to do something dangerous .. so you scream...

do you think there is a metaphor...

Actually I have no idea that to say someone ''you are like a dog'' is rude or not in other cultures... But in the east this is an insult... So If one make such comment / resemblance you have to make sure it's a metaphor..

well that is very difficult to me to explain... I tried my best..

    Re: similitude

I do understand what you are saying. And yes, it is not generally regarded as polite to call someone a dog, though it is not a dreadful insult.

A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable (e.g. food for thought).

A simile is a figure of speech comparing two unlike things that is often introduced by like or as.

    Here it is a simile.
