Selling or buying Land - is there a specific term

Selling or buying land - is there a specific term for it? Or just give me some other terms that refer to LAND (as in an area that can be bought/sold and currently has no constructions on it).

"Real Estate" and "property" I guess also refer to land, but more to land where there are houses built on, or how is it specifically?

    Thanks

vacant land get "developed", so a land developer would purchase land for the purpose of building on it.

    other words:

    real estate developer

    land barron

    vacant land developer

... and if you're looking for a verb that applies only to the transfer of (immoveable) property, there's conveyancing: Definition and Much More from Answers.com .
