For the wolf/ egg sentence, your teacher (or book) is looking for a joining sentence which contrasts the two ideas - because it's surprising that a wolf can pick up an egg without any damage.
For this sentence, I'd suggest perhaps, 'Even though / Although the wolf's jaw is powerful, it can pick up an egg without cracking it.'
