    acceptance to others

WHat does it mean by ' acceptance to others"?

Another reason for welcoming our differnce is that they offer an opportunity to give the treasured gifts of tolerance and acceptance to others.

    Re: acceptance to others

I feel that acceptance to others is not to be clubbed as one in this sentence. "Tolerance and acceptance" is to be clubbed as one.

"Reason for welcoming the difference is that they give us an opptunity to teach tolerance and acceptance to other people (others).

    Hope this clears the doubt.

Shouldn't it be 'tolerance and acceptance of others'? Just a thought.

"Acceptance of others" makes sense. But I think in this sentence, it means tolerance and acceptance to other people. What do you think?

I agree - the gifts are ours made to other people.

Agreed. I had taken the words out of context. Sorry!
