    Do you want to know what it means? It comes from the saying: 'the early bird catches the worm'. If you are first at getting somewhere, particularly in the morning, eg: first down to the breakfast table - you're going to get the best cuts of meat. To be somewhere or do something early in the day and usually before anyone else gets there.
