    When can I use the article "A" and "The"? Thanks!

    Put very simply:

    Use 'A' for when you talk about something but are not being specific (e.g. not pointing at what you are talking about).

    Use 'The' for when you are being specific.

    Can you sense the grammatical difference between 'a boat' and 'the boat'?
