    Smile "the whole nine"

    Hello everyone!

I had been reading an article on Madonna's upcoming CD and as one of the producers on the album was interviewed he state the following:

"She was cool. She had a dark sense of humor that I canít explain. She might just say something crazy that you might feel is out of line. But itís not. Itís just her sense of humor. She was in the studio chilling with us, being open and the whole nine."

What does "the whole nine" mean in the paragraph. Thank you all

This is taken from the saying: the whole nine yards, which means 'everything, totally, completely'. In this context, Madge was probably commended for being totally honest and able to talk about anything and everything; 'open', in fact.
