    Post Please correct the following sentences

    1. There 2 tears, one is in 50cm and another one is in 500cm
    2. All damages were occured in the center of fabric
    3. The above damages were occured due to bad handling

    Can I write as follows.

    There are two tears at 50cm and 500cm (actually the first damage is at 50cm and second one is at 500cm, so we can't use these 5m of fabrics due to this damage)

    JRD, I may have misunderstood your first sentence.

    Before I answer your other question, it would help me to know whether the actual tears measure 50cm and 500cm or whether they are those distances away from a certain point in the fabric.

    We can't use these five metres of fabric because of the tears at 50cm and 500cm.

    Changed word order. you can also say 'this 5 metre stretch of fabric'.
