    Correct use of plurals

    Hi

I would like to know which is the correct phrase to use:

I asked them to wash their hands and face

    OR

I asked them to wash their hands and faces

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums.

In this context, faces works better - it reinforces the plurality.

    Alternative way to say this:

I asked them all to wash hands and face.
