    relative clauses

    Hi

Do you think these two are restrictive relative clauses?

    1. Barbara works for a company that makes furniture.

    2. We stayed at the hotel that you recommended.

Can't I just say that Barbara works for a company and that We stayed at the hotel, and that's it.

    thanks

    Re: relative clauses

You could - provided it is clear from the context what company Barbara works for, and that the hotel is the one that was recommended.
