    Help with form!

    Hi all,
I seem to be having a real crisis with the present perfect. In the sentence below, I think I have the present perfect at the beginning, but 'stops' is in the present simple form, is it not? Can anybody see what my problem is?

We have made a law that stops people from smoking in public places.

WHERE do you want to show the present perfect?

(We have made a law) main subject/verb

(that stops people from smoking in public places.) clause that modifies law.

other options for tense in the clause can include:
    that is stopping . . .
    that has stopped . . .
    that will stop . . .

Hi. Isn't 'have made' the present perfect?
