    Prepositions: at - to

    I have heard and read people using 'to' where I would have said 'at'. E.g. 'Open the book to page 1.' Is this standard English?

    That depends on your definition of 'standard English'.

    'Open to' is frequently used and is an acceptable alternative to 'open at'.
