    can u please tell me what tickler ad means in advertising/marketing?!?!

    FYI: The most striking example of a tickler ad campaign I can remember was for a film in the mid-sixties called 'Seance on a wet afternoon'. The campaign started with a plain black poster. After a week, an image (a candle, I think) was added - but still no words. Then just the word "Seance". It took nearly a month before people knew exactly what was being advertised.
