    Post To learn/to lerning

In addition to learning more about human resourses and accounting she's also found herself in a new leadership position.

The above sentence was online. Now why does it have "to learning"? I don't understand why there is "ing" with learn.

I would write it like "in addition to learn more about......"

    Please help. Thank you

    Re: To learn/to lerning

In addition to learning more about human resources ...

the 'to' belongs with 'in addition' not with what follows.

"in addition to" + something (noun/noun phrase/gerund phrase)

"learning" here is a gerund and is part of the phrase -

    "learning more about human resources"

A gerund is a verb + ing that is used like a noun.
