An excellent letter! just a couple of suggestions.
Thanks for your letter Ė it was really nice to hear from you again. Iím sorry I havenít written for ages, but Iíve been really busy preparing for my exams. Itís really good news that you passed your driving test. Congratulations!
Anyway, have you ever read Jules Verneís bookā 'Round the World in Eighty Days?' Itís a story about a typical English gentleman called Phileas Fogg who has kept to the same exact routine for many years. However, in a discussion in his club, he says that it is possible to travel around the world in eighty days and to prove it, he sets off to do so. At first, all goes well but then all sorts of problems start.
You will really enjoy the part where Fogg, with his faithful servant Passepartout, take time to rescue a widow Aouda from burning on her husbandís funeral pyre. Iím sure youíll appreciate the amusing way in which Fogg is pursued by Inspector Fix, who is convinced that he is a bank robber. This is definitely a book that is impossible to put down.
Iíll finish now as Iím running out of space. I hope you are enjoying driving your car. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
