    Question use of "en"

    could you please tell me when you have to put "en" before or after a word ?
    for example : to be able to / enable to

    does it exist a particular grammar rule ?

    The 'en-' prefix makes it into an empowering word; after John enables Jane to do something, she is able [=enabled] to do it.
