    tenses

    1. I have been torturing him for 3 years.
    2. I have been tortured by him for 3 years.

In 1, the sentence tense is present perfect continuous.
However, what is the tense in 2? Is it correct grammar, in the first place?

It's basically the same as 1 but in the passive voice, Vscid. Note who the tortureer and the tortureee is in each case.

    I should have been clearer.

"... the same in structure;#1 is the present perfect (continuous) in the active voice while #2 is the present perfect in the passive voice.

Note who the tortureer and the torturee is in each case.
