    a question about tense

Hi, is the following sentence correct?
-She told me that her husband is a doctor.

I am afraid that if the sentence is structured like "She told me that her husband was a doctor", it may imply he is not a doctor not more, which is not true.

Thank a lot for your help.

It is fine with "is" in the context you indicate.
