Exclamation Re: is this sentence correct ?

I am not a professional teacher in true sense. In the sentence "We would like to confirm with you that the LC text is correct, please proceed and send us the original ASAP ", the verb in the first sentence is "confirm". This verb is not followed by a preposition. So the sentence is grammatically incorrect. The correct one is - We would like to confirm you that the LC text is correct, please proceed and send us the original ASAP

In the context of a business communication, which is the case here, you do need to confirm with someone that something is the case. You may also need to confirm to someone that something has been done. So the sentence is correct.
