    correct?

    Hi,

    could you please tell me whether the following sentence is correct:

    The employee is entitled to a holiday of 4 weeks. (is the article correct or without article?)

    It is okay, Hanka, but not very formal. I would write: "The employee is entitled to 4 weeks holiday leave".

    'Leave' is the more formal term and as such there are expressions such as "holiday/maternal/paternal/sick leave".
