    Hi

" To Take Wing" - Is it an idiom or a phrase. In what situations will it be appropriate to use it?

    Re: Hi

It is both a phrase and an idiom.

It comes from birds taking wing = flying away. So metaphorically something that takes wing is taking off and flying away.
