    What do you say when a light bulb stops lighting.

    The light bulb defused?

    What about the long lights. Are those called long flurecent lights?

    Flurescent lights defused?

    The bulb has blown. The same word can be used for fluorescent tubes.

    The light bulb blew.
    The light bulb has burned out.

    The fluorescent tube has gone out/stopped working. It may be the starter motor.

    Hi…

    The bulb has fused.
    The bulb has burnt out.
    The bulb has blown.
    Passanger side headlamp bulb burnt out.
    The bulb on the left side of my dash is burnt out
    Lancs, said he found wires in the flex had short-circuited and burnt out .
    Recently, the electrical system burnt out and now requires rewiring.
