To Un- Or Not to Un-

    Hi All,

Is it correct to use 'unpenalized'? Should it be 'un-penalized'?

Or are neither correct? If so, what word should I use in its place?

    Many thanks in advance,

If this is a neologism (=a newly coined word or expression of your own making) then un-penalized.

    Otherwise, 'not penalized'

    Thanks, David.

The actual sentence I am struggling with is:

    "
A character can take one un-penalized Reaction per turn."

You can see how 'not penalized' also sits uncomfortably there.

I suppose one way to resolve the matter is to change the sentence to:

"A character's first Reaction each turn is not penalized. Each additional Reaction..."

PS These are for game rules, if not evident!

Yeah. Don't you just love the flexibility of the English language!
