    What is the verb in this sentence? I disagree with my child's teacher.

    "The goal in sumo wrestling is to either throw your opponent to the ground or to force him out of the ring."

    There are three verbs in this sentence:

    "The goal in sumo wrestling is to either throw your opponent to the ground or to force him out of the ring."
    "to throw" and "to force" are infinitives
