    Post Humpty- Dumpty

    Hi everybody.
I would like to ask you what do these words refer to...The fragment is from a storybook and i am not sure about the meaning of the words " HORSES" and " MEN"

    "Humpty-Dumpty sat on a wall
    Humpty-Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses, and all the king's men
    Cannot put Humpty-Dumpty together again."

    Could HORSES refer to CAVALRY?
    Could MEN refer to SERVANTS?
to me they seem to have these meanings?

    Thx a lot!
