    "as though"

    I have seen some teachers using this expression here and I wonder if this means the same as "as if", please.

    I'm not a teacher, but I would say that they often are more or less interchangeable. "She ran as though chased by a dragon" would mean excatly the same as ""She ran as if chased by a dragon". At least in everyday use, they are synonymous.

    I hear "as if" more frequently than "as though".
