Do you have any of the labels in stock ?

Please double check and confirm, before we consider placing an order on your company.

    Hi Anglica

I've been trying to find any references that would confirm the distinction between "place an order on" and "place an order with", without success.

In the absence of any formal authority, my thoughts are as follows (comments please):

"place an order on" suggests that you are placing the responsibility for fulfilling that order directly on the person/company concerned.

"place an order with" suggests that you are placing the responsibility with the person/company concerned to get someone else to fulfill the order.

I realise it's a subtle distinction, but what do you think?

To "place an order" is an action.

So you can do that with a person or company.

You can place an order on line.

    Re: simpel help please

So far as I am concerned, I always placed an order with a company.
