    Expressing that sth happened accidentally...

    Dear teachers,
    I'd be glad if you could clarify one thing for me. What is the difference (if there's any) between these expressions: by chance, by accident, coincidentally.

    Fer example in sentences:
    We're wearing the same T-shirt, by chance/by accident/coincidentally.
    and
    I've met him by chance/by accident/coincidentally

    How does a meaning change in these sentences when using a different phrasal verb.

    and coincidentally works best here.
    I've met him by chance/by accident/coincidentally all of them work

    by accident =without intending to, or without being intended. Usually about negative things though.
    coincidentally= an occasion when two or more similar things happen at the same time, especially in a way that is unlikely and surprising.
    by chance=by luck, without planning.
