    Is there any difference between these two:

    You need to have a really strong motivation to work like this.
    You have to have a really strong motivation to work like this.

    I can only suggest a subtle difference -
    "You need......" suggests it it is necessary, but not essential, whereas -
    "You have......" suggests to me that it is vital for you to have ........

    Having said that, most people would use either to suggest a high level of commitment is needed.
