    Sounds good, Pete. Is in a team" used in BrE? I think I'd use 'on'.

    I don't like repeating the word "work" and I think that if you work well on a team, to say you work with others is redundant.

    My experience has allowed me to work as an effective team member.

    Definitely - present perfect tense, as suggested by Barb_D

    Previous work experiences have developed my ability in becoming an effective team member.

    That isn't a necessary conclusion, David. I'd say that it's not even a likely one. Context and other surrounding collocations would help one decide which form to use.
