To "hang out with friends" means to spend time with them, casually. You don't have to be doing anything specific to be "hanging out."

I have no idea what Mudding means. Perhaps she has a four-wheel drive vehicle and likes to take it off-road after it rains? But really, no clue.

    Hi Barb_D

I've been hanging around waiting to find out what 'go muddying' means. Can't say as if I have ever used it but I think/have a feeling that it means to get sloshed, drunk. Whaddya thunk?

    Re: Go mudding.&hang out

Well, I'd prefer to get drunk than to go around playing in the mud, but I'm not sure I'd list it as a hobby! (Is this when we break into the song from Bye Bye Birdie about "Kids" these days?)

I suppose I could look at urban dictionary, but that place has so many off-the-wall definitions, I'm afraid to venture there while at work, even if I am on my lunch break.

Ah, yes, "hobby". So it must be four-wheel driving related.

    I found this on Google:

"go 4 wheel rideing and go muddying"

Mudding (no "y") is getting in your big ol' 4 X 4 truck and driving through the biggest, messiest mud puddles or wet dirt roads and making a big ol' mess. Yee-haw!

I'm delighted that I got that right. It was a SWAG.
