The kind of technological leadership, distribution system, product quality, pricing and customer service that Amazon has, 'sets' it apart from eBay, Wal-Mart, Google, Apple, Yahoo! and the likes.
Is it set or sets?
It is 'sets' because of the 'the kind of'.
The kind of = The level of
e.g. The level of product quality and service is high.
However if you remove 'the level of' then the agreement will be in the plural.
e.g. The product quality and the service are excellent.
