    answering the phone

    Hi People , i have one question concernig answering the phone !

    If i answered the phone and the caller asked me to put him through to Mr. X for example, and now Mr.X is talking on another telephone ( i,e using his Mob) then in this case can i say : one minut pls Mr.X has another line now or Mr.X now using another telephone .
    Which answer does works better pls ?

    Or
    Would you hold on a minute, please? Mr. X is on another line.

    The comments above are excellent!
    What about:
    Mr X is unavaiable at the moment (when using his mobile phone he could be anywhere in the building). Would you like to hold, please? It should not take long.
