    which is more emotional?

    Hi, everyone.

    See the following two sentences:
    Are you sure or not?
Are you sure or aren't you sure?

Which of above sentences is more emotional?
What kind of emotion is it?
How to express the same meaning with least emotion?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: which is more emotional?

    ((Not a teacher))

Most of the time, we say: Are you sure or not?

Are you or are you not, sure?

It is asking for confirmation on a certain piece of information given.

For eg: You presume that she has left the city this morning. Are you sure or not?
