    Commas in exclamation sentences

Are commas necessary in the following sentences?

    "Hello, John!"

    "Goodbye, John!"

    "John, come over here!

I have not yet seen a rule for this, but we use commas in exclamation or command sentences in Romanian. I Just want to be sure.

Thank you for your time and thank you in advance.

Yes, because a person is being addressed by name.
