    minor novels?

    Dear Teachers,

I read this from True Pleasures by Lucinda Holdforth:

"She had written three minor novels, but their poor sales meant she was forced to work as an underpaid assistant in a London bookstore."

What does "minor" mean in this context?

    unimportant
    as compared to major
Compared with her other novels / work, these novels were of little importance or influence.

    hope this helps.
