    Question the latter, the former

    Hi There!
I just wanted make sure if this sentence makes sense ... can anyone help?!

The same period was used to test anchoring of inflation expectations in relation to targets and results show that the latter significantly shape the former.

    Thanks a lot!

Luciana, this sentence makes perfect sense. I can't better it, perhaps only by adding a comma after 'targets'.
