can someone explain this following sentence with a timeline
by the end of next month I 'll have been living here for 6 years
Today is 15th May,2008. By the end of next month (June) I 'll have been living here for 6 years.
So, he started living there at about the end of June, 2002 - and use of the present perfect tense suggests he intends to continue to do so.
Here's a rough timeline - rougher than I'd like, but I should be planning a lesson. The scale's all wrong; the funny-looking "Z" shaped kink in the main line marks the point where I realized I didn't have enough room!
(This doesn't disagree with what others have said; it's just that you asked specifically for a timeline.)
