    led in turn to?

    Dear Teachers,

I read this from True Pleasures by Lucinda Holdforth:

"The life stories of these Paris-based writers led in turn to the women of Paris whom they had admired."

What does "led in turn to" mean?

    Re: led in turn to?

What is meant is that, reading the life stories of the Paris-based writers led the reader, in turn (i.e. subsequently), to be able to identify the women that the writers had admired.

    Hope this helps
