    where and wherever

    Dear teachers,

Please read the following two sentences:

    1. They are ready to go where they're needed most.
    2. The weed is a wild plant that grows where it is not wanted in a garden or a field.

My question is: Can I use "wherever" to replace where in the above two sentences since "wherever" can be used as a conjunction?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    Re: where and wherever

If when means to/in whatever place, then yes it would work.

    Re: where and wherever

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your explanation. What does this "when" mean? Is it "where"?

    Yes, "where", not when--a typo.
