I don't consider "stressing" to be an adjective. It's a verb.

    Re: stressing and stressful

'stressing' is the present participle of 'stress' whereas 'stressful' is an adjective, meaning that something is full of stress or causes worry.

    Re: stressing and stressful

The problem is that Iīve googled for the word "stressing", and found many hits like " I had a stressing day", " a stressing time", etc... I know some hits donīt mean much, but I admit I got confused, as I couldnīt find the word in the dictionary.

    Beachboy,

Google does have a tendency to give you 3 million suggestions and not all of them are grammatically correct. In fact, in this instance, the correct phrase may be: 'I had a stressful day' rather than 'stressing day'.

Yes, "a stressful day" is correct.
