    please help

Hello teachers, I need your help.

Let's say one day,I receive a piece of news that someone has been hospitalized and it's been several days she's there.
Later that day, I talked about it with someone else.

please proofread 'the phrase used' on that day

"Someone has just told me today that Selina (has been sent) to hospital (since last Monday)."

    Questions:
    1. I wonder if the tenses and words are correctly used?I'm unsure with the words in brackets
    2. Can I replace 'last Monday' with ' (no of days + ago'?Can we use 'since' and 'ago' together?
    3. If I want to mention that I received the news in the morning, should i use the past tense ?eg, Someone told me today, this morning that Selina..(what about the rest if the situation stay unchanged)? Selina had been sent?

I really hope you can help me out with the problems
I hope that my questions would appear clear to all of you.
Finally, thank you in advance for your kindness and your time.

    Try these:

Someone has just told me that Selina was sent to hospital last Monday.
Someone has just told me that Selina was hospitalized last Monday.
Someone has just told me that Selina has been in hospital SINCE last Monday.
Someone has just told me that Selina has been in hospital FOR 3 days.

Someone told me this morning that S has been in hospital since last Monday.
Someone told me this morning that S was hospitalized last Monday.
Someone told me this morning that S was hospitalized 3 days ago.

The inference with all of these is that poor Selina is still in hospital.
