    Re: meaning of lookyloos

Seems like the kind of made-up word used with children.

Please give the context/full sentence in which it appears.

A lookyloo is a person who looks at things for the sheer pleasure of just looking! There is no intent to purchase, comment, interfere, or change anything that is observed! "The lookyloos will be out in full-force this weekend to see the new homes that are 'for sale' in the neighborhood."
"The police must deal with the lookyloos who will be milling about the scene of the accident."

Yup, exactly. We also have used them to refer to people at a trade show who come by your company's booth, not because they are interested in your services, but to see what kinds of nifty give-aways you have.

They are the bane of real estate agents at open houses and retail store sales people.
